Hit the store today and dropped a nice wad of cash on some veggies and other specialty items. I had to go to three different stores before I found everything and I ended up with chinese turnips instead of traditional ones because no one sells them here. I did find the lemongrass and sweet fennel root so all is not lost.

I will be making a mock chocolate cake tomorrow. I'm also going to make a veggie broth base to use in cooking as well as a veggie soup to freeze in portions so I can make lunch easier. Cooking three meals a day gets a little tiring. I'm throwing some beef stew makings in the crock pot and we'll have that for dinner. Since it's been cold here (well, cold for Hawaii) I've been craving stews and chilis. I'll definitely have to make some more white chicken chili. It turned out great.

Confession time. I had to cheat today. I dropped Chris off at work and ran a couple of errands before our playgroup. I wasn't able to cook breakfast due to a rough night (read shylye for more info on that) so I was starving. I drove through Burger King and got two bacon, egg, and cheese croissanwiches. Boy do I feel guilty. They made me feel sick to my stomach anyways, but I can't stress over it too much because it was that or Popeyes...hmmm...I think I chose the lesser evil. ;)

I'm expecting a resurgence of the die-off symptoms again sigh

Not yet, I'm still missing one ingredient...amaranth powder. I've driven all over the stinking island and I can't find it. I need to see if they can order it in for me at the HFS or if I can just order off the internet.
