07:57 pm - Day 4 Things are going okay today. I'm seriously starting to hate the no sugar thing and it's killing me at times. I'm going shopping tomorrow and I'll be making a candida safe treat (Lemon Cake). Everyone rated the recipe very highly on the candida site I belong to so my fingers are crossed. I'm dying for something sweet!
Another thing that really sucks is the starvation symptoms. My body is going into starvation mode and even though I am eating the same amount of food, if not more, my body is freaking out for sugars and flours. I have caught myself riffling through the cabinets looking for something sweet or starchy to fill me so many times. I actually opened a can of almost expired cranberry sauce (ew!) and just about ate it when I forced myself to empty it down the garbage disposal.
One good thing, the die off symptoms are starting to go away. I'm also starting to get used to the lack of caffeine and since I'm adjusting to no caffeine, I don't get my 3 pm crash each day where I can barely keep my eyes open. I'm just exhausted evenly now. ;)
I've noticed that Scott seems to be happy and there are no reactions in him except for a little irritation from the heavy spices...even that was minimal. His skin rash is clearing up and almost totally gone so something I was eating wasn't agreeing with him. I wish I knew what it was...
